I had a quick question and after a quick search, could not see an answer.
Is it possible for a team to give out contracts that pay a player a set proportion of the salary cap figure, rather than a set dollar amount, I think that this would make sense with the cap fluctuating, it also seems with some teams that they gave out contracts on the assumption that the cap would rise, so even if the contract didn't look good immeadiately, it would in a few years.
So does anyone know if the wording in the CBA allows this or not?

50.6(b) - No SPC may provide for a Player Salary or Bonuses in any year that is not fixed (i.e. every SPC must state the amount of dollars of Player Salary and Bonuses to be paid in each League Year during the term of the SPC, and cannot state that it will be indexed as a percentage of the Upper Limit).
Answer: not allowed.
