It truly is but came at the expense of a fairly soft defensive grouping. They need to push all of their offense through the forwards. So they will be an interesting team to watch.
Yeah. Dallas' forward group is unmatched, the blueline group looks kinda weak. Ceci will be relied upon to handle decently tough leverage and we've seen how that goes every playoff run.
That's also assuming Heiskanen returns for round 1 and can immediately be back in peak form. Coming off this injury, that might also be a tough ask.
He may not sit the entire playoffs but Maurice may feel more comfortable going with veterans in the bottom 6.
Samoskevich has earned more TOI for next regular season.
I think Zito may move Rodrigues in July, while he promotes Samoskevich with more ice time and tries to keep Marchand around for 3 years x $4 or so million.
It's Samoskevich first year, he's definitely part of the now and the foreseeable future.
Not sure he's physically ready for the playoffs grind game in, game out.
He can learn a lot by watching but I'd think Maurice and Zito will get him a game or two and if he produces, he may stick. Time will tell.
