Biggest crow eaters should be the people who whined that guys like Caufield, Keller, Bedard etc weren’t invited. “Bring the best players!”

This was a big boy’s tournament and they would’ve all been on the menu.

Proud of the U.S. effort. We’ve never been able to actually matchup with Canada until this week. Cant wait for the Olympics next year

I'm not sure about that. The US tried to bring a hard hitting team to intimidate the Canadians. Instead they ended up injuring themselves in useless fights and dressing guys like Kreider when they could have used more speed and talent to score the last goal instead.

As always Marner got way too much hate when Matthews has been far worse in every playoffs.

I'm not sure who redeemed themselves more, Binnington or Marner. Both players had been ridiculed over the years (for very different reasons), and many fans said neither had a place on this roster.

And yet they were the most important players of tonight's game. Without Marner's clutch, artistic passing, Canada doesn't score two goals. Without Binnington coming up huge, Canada doesn't survive OT.

It's all in the heart.

We know who we are.

We know who we love.

And yet we don't hate anyone......unless they hate us.

The crow I'm eating is thinking this tournament wouldn't be all that interesting to watch. Four teams playing supposedly relatively all-star like quality hockey and then it turns into a tournament that feels like they were all battling for the Stanley Cup or Olympic Gold.

I was going to watch this tournament regardless, but I didn't think it would turn out to be this great and so fun to watch. I guess when you have the best players in the world putting on their nation's jerseys and are playing for their respective countries, they will play their hearts out and do everything it takes to win. Can't wait to see NHL players back in the Olympics and doing this all over again.

Strong game from Marner. He was the big question mark coming in and he answered them all. I had zero faith in him and he proved me wrong. Only three points in the tournament but they were all huge.

You could be correct that that Canada and US are the 2 best but I wouldn't be dogmatic about it.....Russia is always close to the top as well .....

I thought Binnington was our biggest weakness going into this tournament. I will eat that crow now. What a huge tourney for him and that OT... wow. Solid.

I second that. I ripped Binnington a couple of times over this past week allowing soft goals. I will eat crow, because he is the reason the game was still tied at 2-2 with great saves made in OT and even the third period. He was exceptional when it counted in OT.

I groaned when Bin was announced as the starter today...I thought it was a sure loss for Canada.....he really did rise beautifully to the occasion and proved his many detractors wrong.

Binnington didn't play poorly as a whole in this tournament to begin with. His ability with the puck was an x factor other teams don't have and or didn't show much of this tournament. Also playing as decently to well as he did against the talent he was up against doesn't get talked about enough as most games in the tourney the opposition was all world in terms of forward talent. Binnington is a big game goalie and hopefully people will take a chill pill about him being a total shit tier goalie.

Early on things were roses this tournament but the Sullivan we know showed up. Managed the roster horribly the last couple games.
