Wonder if there’s a workable deal around Crouse and a blueliner (maybe Kesselring) for Lundell?

Teams can just wait till his trade value continues to tank cause paying a top 4 D or a top 6 forward for Crouse is a huge mistake.

His game cooled off when the Utah rumors came out. And he’s been cold since. Can’t seem to find his game in Utah. But until the relocation rumors really heated up, he had been getting better and better for several years.

Big energy player that can skate alright and plays well defensively? Tocchet just forced Alvin into the chat.

He fits our system and might do well with EP but I tend to agree with winterseg that even more of a decline is coming sooner than later.
Joshua would have to go back since Crowse makes him a bit redundent.

I won't make an actual off because just based the ones already posted it seems I value him a lot less.

Some size up front would help Toronto a lot. They need to make a huge splash and go for it but it’s hard to say how they’d get him or how he’d fit in the cap.

If they were to, they should give Robertson a fresh start sending him the other way. His value would be low but he would likely fit the Utah system better and he could use a fresh start.

Just re-signed and possibly our #2 center next year locked up for 5 more years at 5mil cap hit.
If Bennett walks there's a major hole at center, and even if Bennett does stay he's good to miss a handful of games, and the Panthers don't have any NHL ready centers waiting in the AHL.

I would say Maccelli, but I’m not sure he fits the profile of what you’re looking for. I’d say Valimaki, but I think his value is quite depressed at this point. I’d say maybe we just add some draft picks, maybe a pair of 2nds-but I don’t think Buffalo is really wanting futures at this point.

Perhaps Artem Duda? He’s been REALLY good in the Tucson games I’ve seen this season, and Bill Armstrong has called him out by name as a key prospect excelling in the AHL. I’d hate to lose him but with Byram onboard, he’d be buried.

Alternatively, we could take out Byram. I hate to do that because he’s a valuable piece. But maybe the deal could be Crouse and Kesselring for Cozens and a less valuable piece than Byram?

As a completely different idea, what about Crouse for Kulich? 1:1

I know he comes with serious decline risk but with only 1.5 years left on his term, I kind of hope the Leafs do make the gamble. He’s in theory exactly what the top 6 needs.

Man... we don't trade Kulich, he is literally our 1C now and looks good, plays a two-way game. I think this train left when we could have traded Kulich.

Crouse is a guy as a Leafs fan, that I've always been interested in... him and McBain. Unfortunate to see Crouse underperform so far this year, hopefully he does find his game again, maybe in Utah, maybe somewhere else.

That's a pretty solid proposal and return from him with the Buffalo fans... no way Leafs could ever match that.

The more I think about it- I don’t know that Utah needs a huge add to Cozens for Crouse and Kesselring. Maybe a 2nd rounder, or something? Help us to trade up into the late first this year, or whatever. Utah has an extra 3rd in 2026.
