He hasn't been the same since the move and doesn't do well in the coaches system. Deadline deal what would you offer for him?
I think a bigger deal makes sense. You need a RD, we have 4. We need a top 6 C, you may have 3.He's a guy that Buffalo should be in on.
What does Utah need?
I like the idea. I think the catch might be this: Durzi doesn't make sense for us, or for you to trade. Ain't no way that Marino is waiving to come to Buffalo. I cannot see Buffalo being interested in Bortuzzo or DeSimone. Kesselring makes a metric ass-ton of sense for Buffalo.......but I can't see you guys wanting to trade him unless in the case of overpayment (then you just recall Lamoureaux to replace him?)I think a bigger deal makes sense. RD + Crouse for Cozens + ?
I'd personally like to go even bigger and try to add Byram.
Hayton + RD + Crouse for Cozens + Byram. Picks added where necessary.
I like it, but I think Utah needs to add something here. Not a ton, like the best 2nd from 2026 in terms of value.I like the idea. Maybe something like:
Kesselring and Crouse for Cozens and Byram as a base. Keep Hayton unless you're wanting to dump in....in which case, fine we'll take him. Something around that idea?

If the option to keep Hayton is there, that'd be preferred IMO. He's an ideal 3c that can play top 6 minutes. I peg his value around a low 1st/high 2nd. If he needs to be there, I still make the deal though. I think I'd want Krebs to replace some of Hayton's job duties, but Samuelsson is interesting also. He may fit in on a pairing with Durzi, or Lamoureux.Cozens

Well I'm not insisting on Hayton, although he potentially looks interesting and we need a top 6 C, but do you think he doesn't have it and he can't become a top 6 C? Krebs could potentially be your 3C option. If the option to keep Hayton is there, that'd be preferred IMO. He's an ideal 3c that can play top 6 minutes. I peg his value around a low 1st/high 2nd. I don't want to say he can't be a solid 2c, he possibly could, but his metrics indicate he's a 3c. His eye test screams middle 6 to me.Well I'm not insisting on Hayton, although he potentially looks interesting and we need a top 6 C, but do you think he doesn't have it and he can't become a top 6 C? Lucic was making 6 per.Lucic, who was a far better version of Crouse, only had one more year left at the same age before he because an albatross.
Also a much better skater.Lucic was making 6 per.
Crouse is in the 4+ range with a wildly expanding CAP ceiling.
still a hefty contract to take for 3rd liner.
Also a much better skater.
Might make sense to look at Dach. Biggest weakness on the team is a top 6 C.What would Utah want?
Mostly LW. But can play RW. Does not play C.I've seen Crouse listed in various places as each a RW, C and LW. Which does he normally play, and which is he best at?
I could see the Caps being interested. He fits some of the 'mold' they've been acquiring over the past year. But they really need scorers at LW and C, and would probably prioritize for those positions.
Problem is that I think the pieces the Caps would want to trade wouldn't be ones that will help Utah for their own playoff push. For example, if Utah wants a top 6 C, the best the Caps could do there without compromising their own playoff team too much would be Hendrix LaPierre, who's still developing and likely isn't ready to be "counted on".
Offseason, they could be open to including someone like McMichael.
