Actually, would this trade interest Utah?
Dylan Guenther OR Clayton Keller + Lawson Crouse + picks

for

Brady Tkachuk + Josh Norris
I personally would not be interested in deal, but others might.

I'd do Crouse+ for Norris. Not a big plus, maybe like Lutz or someone in that tier, but I feel like Keller and Guenther are in that group of players you don't move unless it's a necessity.

Also, Crouse starts slow every year. He'll get 15+ goals and 40ish points by the time the season ends.

Utah can't afford to lose Crouse and his size. What about Schmaltz? Schmaltz is probably the better player production wise, and has had injuries in the past as well, but Norris is a C, and a good one when healthy. Past injuries still a concern with Norris.
I disagree. Crouse needs a change of scenery to snap out of it and the way that he has been playing... his production can be replaced. And I do believe a trade with the Sens would snap him out of his mediocre play.

Also would be interested in a Pinto for Crouse trade scenario, if trading for Norris isn't practical. Like Pinto's contract more than Norris, but Norris is the better player/fit.

Crouse is the most valuable player.

Norris comes with a lot of risk considering the contract he signed and how injury prone he has been.

Wouldn't do that from Utah pov.

Yeah, Keller and Guenther are guys I'd build around too. Tkachuk normally would be but the Sens might need a shock, can only afford a hockey trade. After years of Melnyk + Dorion, they can't also afford to trade any futures now

Also would be interested in a Pinto for Crouse trade scenario, if trading for Norris isn't practical. Like Pinto's contract more than Norris, but Norris is the better player/fit.

Sens would have zero interest then. Pinto isn't for trade, particularly now with his injury and slow start.

Only reason they'd trade Norris for Crouse+ is for cap flexibility, changing this for Pinto defeats that purpose.

You could be right, but remember, Crouse is still young and injury free.

This is a pretty meh trade for me in that I just don't value any of the pieces highly. Norris is the best player but his cap hit and injury history make him much less valuable as an asset than he might be as a healthy player. Sogaard I know least well and if someone corrects me and tells me he's an awesome prospect, cool, but the stats are pretty mediocre. Crouse - I live in SLC and have been to a decent number of Utah games this year. I just never notice Crouse, ever, for better or worse.

With Norris' risky $$$ contract I would not add a + to Crouse.

Maybe that's the better choice, I dono. All I know is we need another top 6 C, LW, and top 4 LD. Norris fits the bill for a top 6 two way center, and due to his history with injury, he's attainable. Crouse's replacement may be ready well before we find a top 6 center, especially one at 25 and signed long term. Lots of variables to consider.
