Sid was fantastic tonight. I think it was easily his best international game ever. His hockey sense is unreal. He put on a clinic on how to read plays and effectively play hockey today.

He has already tied his 2014 scoring. And he still has another minimum 4 games to get 4 more points to tie his 2010 scoring.

He needs better wingers in Pittsburgh. It's a shame he couldn't find chemistry with Kessel. On paper they seemed to be a natural fit. Maybe they'll try again.

they haven't really been tried together since Sullivan took over. Actually, they played one game together against Detroit when both Malkin and Bonino were hurt, and Kessel scored two goals.

If you mean the hrone of the best canadian player, then yes.

Crosby's the best player in hockey, it's not even really debatable. If you're saying Crosby is the best player on Canada, it means that he's better than Price, and Kane has no more of an argument for being the best player in hockey than Price does.

Wow, what happened? :amazed: You've changed, haha.

Hand eye was unreal tonight, breaking up plays/passes by tapping them out of the air before they could connect.

Gimme more typical NA narratives.

Malkin to Boston for Bergeron and Marchand. Do it. Just so I can watch that line for 10 years. They are unreal.

Bergeron is by far the best defensive player on the planet. The add isn't going to be Marchand. Bergy is head and shoulders above everyone else.

This Czech team is arguably the weakest at this year's tourney. But Crosby is good against bad teams. Just a reminder : he had 0 goals in the finals.

What finals? The past two Olympic finals? He had goals in both, if I recall correctly.

Put a stud out there with a team of studs and this is what you get. Guy is already great without having an elite cast to tee it up for him....Canada should walk to the tournament victory...

Crosby has played in 3 Gold Medal games for Canada at the senior level. He has 3 goals and 1 assist in those games.

He has an Olympic Gold Medal winning goal and an assist on a Stanley Cup winning goal.

Yep, he's only good against bad teams :sarcasm:. That sounds about as true as saying that Kessel will struggle in the later rounds of the playoffs

That was a dominant performance from Sid. Chemistry is king in international tournaments and this is the first time I've seen Crosby gel with his linemates immediately.

Actually, the first time he gelled with linemates immediately was with.. guess who? Bergeron and Corey Perry in the 2005 World Juniors. I believe he then played the World Championships on a line with Bergeron too and was fantastic.

All this time I've been thinking that, Zach Parise is the perfect linemate for Crosby. But it could well be Patrice Bergeron, especially at this stage of Sid's career where he is more focused on the two-way game. Those guys are just so smart, possibly the two smartest players in the game, and you need to be smart to keep up with what Crosby's doing on the ice.

Might have been the best I've ever seen Crosby play. He was completely dominant last night... a man vs. children.
