I can't think of anyone in sports period right now who has more of a right to say that than Crosby, he brought them to 3 Cups.

Am I the only one who can randomly see another playoff appearance with Pittsburgh? Not sure he needs to be traded for a crack at it

No reason for him to go anywhere else. I think he wants to be a player who would rather keep trying to win with the same franchise than go into "Corey Perry Mode" going from team to team trying to win another Cup.
Maybe? Perhaps he realizes that any team that might try to sign him might not even be able to afford him when he still has 2 years at $8.7 per, or alternatively he's likely already a Pittsburgh legend and would be cool to pull a Mario and play his whole career there.

i mean, it's not like he'd hint at wanting a trade on live TV. but i also can't envision him chasing another cup when he's already won 3. he's going to stay in pitt until he retires

He said two weeks ago that he was done addressing trade talk so this is the answer you would expect.
Wasting the end of his career, but his right I guess, still so pointless. He's doing nothing for his legacy in Pittsburgh/in the NHL and he's holding Pitt back from their much needed rebuild.
He knows they will end up with Misa or Mckenna.

His legacy won't really be changed by going to another team to win cup 4. But staying in Pittsburgh means he will finish as one of the greatest athletes in Pittsburgh sports history.

People need to stop beating this dead horse. Sid wants to finish his career with one team, thats the last thing that matters to him.

Yeah, I'm sure Crosby, who went to Ron Hextall and demanded that both Malkin and Letang were getting re-signed, is going to bail on the Penguins in a near future.
He has zero chance of winning another cup with Pitt, I promise.

He’s won his cups and individual awards and is probably going to break the NHL record for most points with one franchise. He deserves to end his career happy and on his own terms. The selfishness in me wants to see Sid go out with a Cup win but I also never want to see him wear another teams jersey.

No I think the same thing. I think their devotion to Sullivan is killing them more than anything. He's a good coach but I think he's at that Paul Maurice in Winnipeg stage of being way too long in the tooth.
Some shrewd offseason moves, a new coach, and a goalie that can stop a puck would all go a long way for Pittsburgh.
