Every single one of us, the devil inside
I still think the Crapitals are frauds, so let's go out and beat them for a third time this season. Let's make all those Crapital fans sad.
Last Devils Game: The Devils defeated the Detroit Red Wings on Friday by a final score of 5-4. Check out Jackson’s recap of the game.
Last Capitals Game: The Capitals beat the New York Islanders 5-4 in overtime. Check out NHL.com’s recap of the game.
Recent Momentum: The Devils have won seven of their last ten games and four of their last five for a record of 16-8-2. The Capitals have also won seven of their last ten games and three of their last five for a record of 16-6-1.
When They Played Last: The Devils held on for a 3-2 victory over the Capitals on November 23rd. Check out Chris’ recap of that game.
Lineups
Washington Capitals
Logan Thompson started on Friday, and Charlie Lindgren is expect to start in net on Saturday.
New Jersey Devils
Jacob Markstrom started on Friday. Jake Allen is projected to start in net on Saturday.
What to Watch For
Didn’t We Just Do This?
Two wins and a loss. That is about all that has changed for the Devils in the week since they last played the Capitals. Alex Ovechkin is still out after suffering a fractured leg. Jakob Chychrun, who scored a goal and recorded an assist in Friday’s game against the Islanders, has found a home in Washington. Connor McMichael, who had three assists against the Islanders, and Aliaksei Protas are still the surging young forwards to watch out for. Logan Thompson has played exceptionally well, tallying nine wins and one loss. Saturday’s game will be the fourth and final time the Devils play the Capitals in the 2024-2025 regular season. It’s odd to have the season series completed by the end of November.
