Yeah I’m reaching back to SJ and Tampa, but obviously they had a good stretch in between. Just too many no shows and it can’t be swept under the rug.
SJ game wasn't a bad game, the result sucked but they didn't play a bad game. TB is a tough one at the end of a huge Florida trip and it was 2 weeks ago. If we have to go back two weeks for a bad game, maybe it's not that bad.

Looking way ahead, I like our D but would like to add one middle 6 forward before the deadline. No idea how we can make the cap work, but some names they could look at are rentals like Nelson, Gourde and ironically Palmieri and Hall. lol

Lou would never sell though and no clue about Seattle either. Slim pickings in the rental market.

I know Mercer really is a huge goat for tonight, and I think he deserves a ton of the blame for this, but let's not act like he's been as bad as Palat this season lol.

That's just an emotional recency bias.

Plus St. Louis and frankly not looking good at all against a bad Detroit team. It is what it is. People can think it’s meaningless or it’s not, that’s fine. My point isn’t the losing (or the winning really), but looking THAT bad is a worse indicator whatever the result, win or lose.

People had no issue with him just yesterday. It's largely because he took a dumb penalty today that cost them.

The whining tonight is a bit over the top

Caps do look legitimately good. 16-6-1 and the most goals scored in the league. Looks like they’re going to be a problem for the long haul this season

They were dreadful for forty minutes, the charts only started looking good after the Sharks went full umbrella in the third

I'd rather Mercer with Jack and Brat, tbh

he's been awful tonight and is such a wimpy that is afraid to shot, but at least he's got some skill

Palat is a grinder that can't win the puck back and is a blackhole as soon as someone pass him the puck

St Louis was the refs spotting 2 goals in the first 5 mins to them and them deciding to play like their 2019 version in front of Binnington. That game is the most throw the film in the trash game you can ever think of.

The penalty kill has been a HUGE problem tonight.

We killed one, which was literally just Allen. And I think we killed another that was 6 seconds or something.

Then they completed the natural hat trick of power play goals in the 2nd.

PK seems to have some games like this where they struggle. Feels like the unit has been up and down game to game

I don’t see Mercer with Jack and Bratt. Can the latter and Mercer even play LW?
