He seems like a nice guy and I remember reading a story that he is. But I can't stand his personality on TV. Hokey doesn't begin to describe it.

You're wrong. Al Coates was the GM who did that trade. Button took over 2000 and one of his first moves was buying out MSL.Button landed a 19 year old Jarome Iginla for an aging Nuewy. Adding a nearly career Flame and HOf-er alone overshadows all other trades. And he drafted Iginla for Dallas previously.
have u ever watched Don cherry, or Brian Burke. Canadians love those types and I don't blame them they make great TV.That's my main issue with him. He looks like he watches Colin Cowherd or Stephen A Smith for insight, which I feel is the last thing most Canadians want for hockey coverage.
What I dislike about Button is he will continue to push his narrative when it comes to his draft rankings even if he was wrong on a player.
:p Just keep him away from the dishes. He does a good job on TV.

Button’s a knowledgeable and engaged professional IMO. He probably can irk some people with some of his tendencies (for me, he says “significant” just way too often). But by enlarge he contributes to the brand.
