They need someone in the 25-27 age who can play center or who is a rush stopping mid-pair RD. That's it. Not prospects, not picks, not guys who are playing way over their capability like Novak.

It won't help us much, Byram was very decent and played in the first pair, we are just worsening our defense and in our top 4 will play such marginals as Jokiharju and Bryson. Also we do not solve our problem with the top 6 C. Although I like Konecny.

Aren't you listening? The Sabres don't want a package of lesser assets for Cozens. They want to trade Cozens+ for a player who is better than Cozens. That package does not improve Buffalo right now.

Buffalo doesn't need a package of players. They have very specific holes in their lineup and this dubiously sourced proposed deal doesn't address any of them.
