I would trade Cozens for a prospect about to break out like Beck and a 1st to flip for a RHD. Cozens hit 60 pts once but idk if it was a fluke because since he's been a 40 pt player. (It's fairly rare a player's best season is that early into their career).

Lot of risk from both sides but I'd probably pull the trigger on that, especially since Beck is a C. That might be a little too rich for Habs fans but you're getting a proven 30 goal scorer.

(I might add a 3rd on Buffalo's side for the risk and it's early so basically a 2nd.

Beck has a 1 assist in 11 career games but that's normal for a young player to start slow.

I know Sabres don't want prospects but he's 21 and I think will break out within the next 2 years.

The draft picks can be flipped.

I don't think I'd do this if I was Montreal for the risk of Cozens flopping. But it's a deal I'd make.

If the Habs were pursuing Cozens than ya this is an interesting offer,
I just hope that the Habs are not interested. High risk.

If Cozens is being shopped I would think the Devils would be taking a run at him for help with Hughes being out. I don’t know what the Habs would offer but for me I don’t see a deal that includes Hage like mentioned by others in this thread. There’s just too much to like not only about his game but his personal history and character

If we include Hage, then why bother. We don't know if Cozens will get to the next level and Hage is suppose to be have 2C potential. We wouldn't need this trade if Hage was already playing in the AHL or was close. It's the 2-3 years we are trying to fill while Hage is developing.

Habs dont have the NHL pieces, I doubt they could bring a Cozens with Dach or Newhook... maybe Quinn
