He let Russ cook during those seasons he was the Hawks OC. It was him falling flat in the playoffs that was the last straw.

Brian Schottenheimer himself is uninspiring but the staff of assistant coaches looks good. You have to hand the Cowboys uncanny ability to dangle something to look forward to even when things look bleak. And when people are typically down on the Cowboys, that's usually where the Cowboys best regular seasons come from.
