One time considered one of LA's top young prospects, the speedy Kevin Brown!

Some guy who preferred to party with Pantera than practice with his team:

This obscure Kings defenseman's most memorable Kings moment involved him getting blasted into the boards by Dallas Drake:

And finally, a player who never appeared in a regular season game, though he did look like a star in the preseason:

True, but this event occurred before the penalties were called.

Why is he laughing?

Serious answer: Because he knows the Canucks were trying to get him off the ice for 5-7 minutes and he laughed it off and skated away

Pretty much this, also I think he was laughing at the thought of all people, Hansen trying to fight him!

OK, here is the video:

You are faster than the speed of me

It took me an extra 4 minutes to find the same video.

Ron brings it everyday!

Truthfully, I got lucky. I couldn't find it initially on YouTube, so I searched for some written material on the game and someone had posted the video inside their blog.

YouTube doesn't really have that great of a search engine, IMO. Kind of ironic, considering who now owns YouTube.

I found 2 game recaps that didn't show the scrums. I remembered it was game 2 , but didn't remember when it was in the game

Incredible. They couldn't even find a picture in his Pens uni?

Actually that was quite normal back then and into the early 90's for cards. They usually took the photos during the previous season and some in the off-season but if you were dealt mid-summer onward, which i assume happened there with Rutkowski, they usually just added a tagline to say you were with a different team now.

Actually, you still see it from time to time, but with today's technology it's much easier to photoshop you into the new uniform.

Anyway, here's Psycho announcing that we have one week left...

The best was when OPC did an airbrush on a card of a guy that was traded. Most of them were really brutal.

**** man, you must be looking up the history of the Kings. I don't even remember this guy!

P.S. I like how they take his picture against a green-painted brick wall. It's like the team photographer stopped him right before game start and said, "Hey Phil, we forgot to get a card photo for you. Just pose right there, we'll let you get to the game in a jiffy."

Ron, I'm just testing you seeing as you have been there since the early days :sarcasm:

It actually was for a hockey card picture. I believe early 70's for OPC.

A lot of those earlier sets were of players just striking the same hunched, stick on the floor pose. Maybe it was unoriginality, maybe it was a cost thing? Not sure, but I remember even the stars sometimes having those posed pics. Always hated them.
