I agree about Ferlin.Take him in a heartbeat on this team.Loved what I saw last year in his limited time.Hope he ok now.Concussion was it?

Should be sooner than later that a trade happens which not 1 person has proposed like every other year.

Yeah, he's been back for a few games now though. If I were the GM, I'd give him 10 days in Providence to re-acclimate himself and call him up at the deadline after we ship out some of the dead weight up front (i.e., Hayes and Connolly).

Beleskey-Spoons-Ferlin would be a sweet third line. Spooner would have a ton of space to work his wizardry.

so we trade LE21 and then hayes and connolly for a dman....who's going to play wing??? CJ is never gonna allow a lineup consisting of

march-bergy-Vatrano
Belesky-Krecji-Pasta
Kempainen(Koko)-spooner-Ferlin
Rinaldo-Talbot-ferraro/griffth

not saying it would be bad but there would certainly be some learning lumps and bumps to take here. I think we had a good chance this year to really see what griffith/koko/ferlin really had and we blew it.... they'll be used as trade fodder or signed to low level deals and toil in Prov for a bit longer.

I could see us sending the likes of Koko and griffith to a team like NJ (who's attempting to get younger) or the leafs who'll readily play AHL PPG players for some tangible assets.

Connolly and ferlin are the same age.

I'm fine with keeping Connolly for now. I just think that because Ferlin gives you more speed, physicality, upside, and cap room than jimmy, we may as well try him out on that third line spot this year.

Yandle is coming in 10 days book it.

if it takes K miller out of the line up indefinitley I'd do it.... however ifit pushes seidenberg up to top pair then no thanks...you either end up with

chara-seids
yandle-kmiller

or

chara-trtoman
yandle-seids
krug-mcquad

obviously the 2nd option being better as K miller is non existent....also tho like BB88 said with the NYR blue line woes right now I think Yandle becomes an internal rental for themselves.

Ferlin was concussed for all but 5 games this year. Also, I'm in the keep LE21 camp. I would use the jimmy money to sign loui. Kelly's $3 mil also come off the books this year so replacing jimmy with ferlin would give us an extra $4.5 mil next year.

Ya i'd move hayes for a cheaper option in a heartbeat... move in ferlin or move randell up a line.

trade griffith with Eriksson move spooner to the wing and bring in Koko for the 3rd line C position.

sure that works too, but I think him being freshly signed this off season and a "hometown" boy we don't see hayes moved at all.... and we'd have to find a taker for him... ARZ maybe?

My lineup would be:

March-Bergy-Connolly
Loui-Krejci-Pasta
Beleskey-Spoons-Ferlin
Rinaldo-Talbot (or a Providence guy)-Randell

I honestly have no idea how to fix the D though.

I know that this is the reality. I'm hoping donny would put the viability of the team above his own ego though. Seems like he would be the type of guy to do that.

Maybe there's a contender looking for a depth forward? The thing is, Hayes' numbers aren't terrible this year so we at least wouldn't be selling low.

I'm a Ferlin fan, thought he'd be a regular this season after his good showing at the end of last year.

But he's been out almost the entire season, little bit much to ask him to step in an contribute at the NHL level right now. Especially after a concussion.

If you want to move Hayes then if anything keep Griffith and give him a look.

We all know Koko doesn't have a chance at that 3rd line spot, rightly or wrongly. Heck Julien still doesn't hesitate to put Kemppainen on 3rd for Spooner (did it against Minny) because of his perceived deficiencies, and Spooner is actually a NHL level producer, something Koko hasn't and likely never will be at least in Boston

If they move Spooner to the wing no chance Koko goes there with Kemppainen around and Julien coaching.

Felger writes what he would do as GM

http://www.csnne.com/boston-bruins/now-its-boston-bruins-turn-to-confront-trade-deadline

-- If the Bruins don't get a first-round offer for Loui Eriksson, they might as well just keep him and let him walk at the end of the year. Try and win a few more playoff games in the meantime (providing they even make it in a first place, which is still very much in question). The last thing the B's need is another middling draft pick. They had three picks in the first round and three more in the second last year. This year, they have an extra first via San Jose and at least one, and potentially two, second-rounders (more on that below). Bottom line: They don't need more picks.

That said, if Eriksson gets you a first -- see ya later.

-- If I'm the Bruins, I'm still selling on Zdeno Chara -- but who am I kidding? It's probably unrealistic for a variety of reasons. First there's no indication Chara would be willing to waive his no-trade clause. And even if he did, there's no indication the B's have the appetite for that kind of franchise-altering move. Most importantly, what kind of return could you get anyway? His value seems to go down by the day. After being on the ice for both Nashville goals last night, Chara has now found himself on the sheet for the Bruins' last nine goals against. Nine! (All six in Detroit, the one in Columbus and the two last night.) That's hard to do.

It would appear Chara and the B's are stuck with each other.

I like Felger's passion (no I don't) but duuuude just shut up. Hess like the loud mouth guy who says stuff just for the sake of saying stuff so attention will go his way. I'd like Sweeney to 'invite' Felger for a day in the life of Don just before trade deadline so when Felger asks all these stupid questions like "Why don't ya just trade this guy?" Don can just tell him why, or put Felger on the phone to one of his buds and tell him its a GM for another team

Guys a fool. That being said, if theres no first for Loui then it has to be an NHL ready body + a pick.

You're ****ing ******** me????? Are they actually serious??? Id be trading Pacioretty in a heartbeat before anyone on that team, hes the only guy that sucks that actually has value. If the Habs trade Subban I will actually wet my pants in laughter.

I think it could be another GM stirring the pot though, say that his name has come up to keep stoking the flames in Montreal :laughL

I think Therrien is an idiot. If it comes down to Therrien vs. Subban, Subban wins everyday in my book.

If not, Habs management are idiots and learned nothing from the Patrick Roy trainwreck......... scratch that..... I meant TRAINWRECK.

I think it has to do with Max too. But honestly, you'd trade Max before PK every day of the friggin week. Max is earning peanuts in comparison to Subban (i doin't thik that sits well with him, especially now that hes Captain) and I also don't think Montreal should pay the ridiculous price Max is gonna want on his next deal  so to me its clear, you have invested in PK, theres a rift between he and Max, bye bye Captain No Show. Honestly though, I hope this happens x1000.
