Pretty sure this type of thing is expressly frowned upon by the NHL and other major leagues and could never happen again.

The Packers were grandfathered in.

Section 34 of the NHL by-laws may provide clarification. Can't find a complete copy online. The Toronto Star used to have the full document but no longer.

I believe the maximum that the public can own is 49% in the NHL.

If we can't sell-out the home opener I doubt people, other than us hardcores, would fork over hundreds of dollars to purchase Sens stock.
