Agreed. And it's not like there are better goal scorers that got left at home, it's just that the US is lacking top end offensive talent. Gionta leads all Americans in goals in the NHL, and as much as I love Gionta, he's not the caliber of goal scorer like Ovechkin, Malkin, Gaborik, Selanne, Kovalchuk, etc.Higgy4 said:Goaltending was not the issue.
