Style of play fits perfectly with the Panthers
Tons of playoff experience
Likely pretty cheap, could at least give him a low base rate with a bunch of potential bonuses since he's 35+

Feel like this would be a great fit for a team that needs to go all in next season, way better than bringing back Gregor or Kunin at least

So question is how much would/should Florida be willing to give him

Meh, Zito tried to sign him and he went elsewhere each time. Likely cause he was given more, but I’d like to avoid the Perry curse at this point.

Rather take a run at bringing Stenlund back, or someone of his caliber.

Gregor and Kunin were supposed to be filler who ended up having to play WAY too much.

No thanks. Florida wants to win it all again. They don’t need a Stanley cup finals bridesmaid and a player who can barely skate

Had a pretty good regular season and was remarkably effective on the Kings PP but had a pretty disappointing series against Montreal

He could be a good stop gap option especially if the Panthers end up moving one of Rodrigues or Samoskevich in their quest for better goaltending

Something similar to his Kings deal with a base salary of 1 million with bonuses for GP and series wins would make sense, just a matter of determining how much those bonuses would be

He almost outscored the entire Panthers team in 2025 and probably gets 20 last season if he plays all 82 games, you're not getting anything close to that unless Greer can convert to RW
