To be fair, sometimes, Drai makes him look like Gaetan Boucher out there. I say this half jokingly, at the risk of getting hammered on by his acolytes that think we're only picking on him.

Give it time. You sign Perry for the playoffs, not the regular season. The guy hits a whole new level of compete when it really counts. Dallas, Montreal, and Tampa fans all came around once they saw him in the playoffs.

Not me. I'll eat crow on that one. Maybe I was a bit too focused on the average age of the team. Our team is hyper focused on playoff success and having an experienced vet like him is underrated

What’s impressive about Perry right now is he looked completely cooked this time last year. Clearly was out of his depth with the pace of playoff hockey. But he’s turned the dial back, at least for a few games.

He's got amazing skill. He lost some speed (which was never his strength), but still amazing hands, can shoot, and go to dirty areas. nearly 20 goals at 39 is nothing to scoff at.
