Somethings being swept under the rug.

No chance this is all over a night where he just got sloppy drunk or something.

Definitely involves either banging someone or punching/fighting someone.

Sorry for what tho

The Blackhawks already said it involved an employee. If he was drunk, and they’re keeping things private, you can probably make an educated guess of whats most likely.

Related to alcohol and it's not criminal... is he gonna grieve this? US is different but sure there are some laws about accommodating employees in Illinois that would have prevented job loss?

Get well soon, Perry. I hope whoever else was involved is doing well.

Not sure I buy it. You would think a hall of famer would be given more rope if it was a alcohol issue. At the very least he would be put into an assistance program rather than cast off.

He probably just had to write the message to collect whatever money they owe him.

I dont even like Perry. But doesnt pass the smell test.

Doesn't the league have a rehab program? Unless he refused treatment.

I think you can confidently say his contract wasn't terminated for having an alcohol problem, it was terminated for something he did while under the influence of alcohol. Whether it was grope, unwanted sexual advance, or something else that we mgiht not ever know.....

They terminated his contract. He doesn't get a cent more of it unless he grieves and they settle.

I have usually struggled with Perry on the ice in his agitator role but full props to Corey for this statement. Alcohol does not play favorites and I am hoping he gets the help he needs to take on this fight. I will be cheering for him this time.

I’m sure the rumors have taken a toll on him. Regardless of what he did, I don’t think he intended to hurt his teammates and especially their families.

Hard to give or not give sympathy without knowing what he did, and we may never know, but good on him for apologizing and hope he gets the help he needs.

Yes, and addiction is not a "get out of jail free -card".
