Ok, this is the kind of crap that really irritates me. You can change the name of the football team in Washington; that's the organization's privilege. But, when you announce Fred Smoot is going to be on your broadcast, you don't list him as playing 7 seasons for the Commanders. He never played a single season for the Commanders! He played for the Washington REDSKINS! This Orwellian BS of trying to change history is both gutless and stupid. The organization changing its name doesn't magically make the change retroactive.
