I think you've already said it, at 20 years old he's going to have grow into that frame. Lecavalier at 20 years old was consistently rag dolled.
Yeah, fair. I just don't know too much about his game prior. Was he physical or more of a puck hound. Either way, I'm pleased with him and think he's got a great future tbh. He has the tools and skates very well for a big guy.

At his age group he's going to dominate physically because none of the other kids have had a chance to pack on muscle either, which is why bigger over age players typically excel in the juniors but hit a wall in pro leagues.

When Cirelli is back, I'd love to see Geekie back with him and Hagel, but seems like they want to play him at center where he's stuck with significantly worse linemates.

Idk about that. I think they're open to him developing as a center or winger. It's just the injury carousel at the moment having its effect. He has top six potential and with his frame, he's either a play driver on the wing or grows into a more complete game at center. Its way too early to judge one way. It's all about reps at the moment and learning the game. I actually think he'll end up as a winger. You wouldn't move Point or Cirelli for him, nor would you bury him in the bottom six. He probably ends up as a winger in Tampa for the foreseeable future and plays center at times like this.

The linemate situation is a tragedy but then again, so is like 4 out of the bottom 6.

I don't know if he will ever be overly physical. Maybe like a poor man's Getzlaf or Thornton, but more of a goal scorer.

I'm still not convinced he's gonna be a guy who breaks 60 points. I'm thinking 40s most years.

I think we have ourselves a little monster. Those junior scouting reports comparing him to Getzlaf may have been accurate at one point, but I don't see it with him on the wing, being LH, and being shoot first. He does remind me of Mikko Rantanen a hell of a lot though. He's going to be a puck possession god once he adds 30 lbs and a few more games under his belt.

Seeing how this org develops players..I wouldn’t complain if he turns out like Brandon Saad
