As we all know and have discussed the Jeanott trade was the worst for JBB but I think he redeemed himself with the Serg trade. Moser and Geekie are paying and will continue to pay big dividends. Even restocked the cupboard with a couple of picks.

He's definitely a 20/20 guy in the future and a welcomed, big body in the lineup. I like the guy. Really hoping he stays hungry.

Yes, which is a safe bet that's his floor potential in the league.

I would even say he’s likely to do it if he’s a fixture on the second line, which hasn’t quite happened yet.

20/20 even this year feels a little high. Not saying he can't so it. But once he figures NHL space and speed, yes.

We see a lot of rookies that come up and play well, but they can often falter once they work themselves into the routine of NHL life or whatever. When they get comfortable.

I'm thinking, long term, 50 or 60 points as a second liner. My real hope is he starts really using his size and gives us a physical scorer.

See lots of Tyler Bertuzzi in him who some people wanted. 30-30 type of guy who is gritty, creates, good for a highlight reel now and then.

I think I was first on the Bertuzzi train. Geekie doesn't skate as well as Bertuzzi but we just got our hands on him this summer. Might be room for improvement there.

But yeah, give me a guy who has hands but depends more on grit and physicality than finesse, and I'm calling it a homerun.

Unless Sergachev starts banging out 80 and 90 point seasons I don't see how this trade isn't a complete win, and a franchise changer in a good way. We got better and younger at the same time. That never happens.

Idk - he's fitting in well, getting chances, and if he keeps it up the sky's the limit. Good player.
