“He’s impressed me the whole camp with the way he plays the game,” Hedman said Thursday after practice. “He hounds pucks, he’s really good defensively and has got a lot of skill. As a young kid, you try to make an impression, (and) he certainly has. And even if ... (the fight) wouldn’t have happened, I still would have been very impressed with what he’s done so far in camp."

“For him to do that, that was special, and showing not just if it was me who got hit, but anyone else who would have gotten hit, I’m pretty sure he would have done the same thing. So super, super proud of the way guys step up for one another. That speaks volumes to the kind of team that we have.”

Pshaw one the one game. He beat down a little POS that certainly deserved it. Kid is either on the roster or a first call-up. ( U don't F with those kids from the prairies).

If that blindside (but legal) hit on Hedman occurs during the regular season, it's just hockey. But you have some camp plug just trying to run guys your teams stars all night in a preseason game I have no issue at all with Geekie's response. Hope the team bought him a steak dinner.
