He went from a guy who we’d have to swallow some of his contract to move off of a couple years ago, to being underrated (outside of Vancouver) last season to our 3rd best player this season (and underpaid).

Weird time to be a Canucks fan 2024
He always had the talent. It's a bit of a shame that he hasn't been given the minutes to really excel until this year. He was actually trending down in minutes over his time on the Canucks and last year averaging 14.32/game he had his first 20 goal season and was +19. This season he's up over 19 mins per game and his PPG has increased from .573 to almost a point per game.

And I'm so glad for it. Never wanted him gone. He's always been able to drive play but now he's getting the points and the ice time. If the entire team had half the hustle Garland does this team would be be top 5 in scoring.
Does anyone feel like Garland looks like he should be a referee rather than a player?

There was as of a few years ago or maybe still is a lumberjack bar in East Van that caters to an actual trend of dressing like a lumberjack, with high leather boots, stiff denim, suspenders, flannel shirts, etc.Suspenders too.
Looks like the "cap dump" according to many of the experts on here is playing okay.
