I did Bouchard’s last 20 games earlier today, I’ll update it to his last 21:

3-16-19, +16, 77 shots on goal

Made a very nice play on the OT goal.

As long as he's just make simple plays in our own zone and staying away from big blunders, he is the most offensively gifted defenceman this team has had in like 25 years???

That penalty on Ekholm though……

We just got to accept that theyll coast and play at 70% intensity for now. We saw what they can do at the end of that game, it’s clear to me theyre chilling until games get more important. Theyll step it up when we get closer to the playoffs, im sure.
These games ARE important though….home ice in the playoffs is huge

RV is the new snowpants sam
Snowpants contributed….something!

Glad we won but …

I would like to see more offense from this team. We make every goalie look way better than they are. At some point its not just the other goalie. Not enough greasy goals, traffic and potentially the forward composition.

Feels like anyone not named Mcdavid or Draisaitl can score with any sort of consistency.

Team had a chance to salt this one away on the PP but they haven’t had any swagger this year.

Secondary scoring has been a problem through multiple seasons but I feel like it gets going eventually in January most years. Its February now, and were still not seeing it. The forward group should be way more productive than they are.

I think McDavid and Draisaitl play too much. Knoblauch needs to get more guys going or management needs to figure things out.

I mean we are a very good team, but I hope management is aggressive to give our best players the best shot possible moving forward.
It is definitely an issue of how they play in the O zone. It is simple. If you don't take enough shots from the high danger areas, it will be harder to score. They honestly need to change their tactic in the O zone 100%

Somebody else here posted that we are by the bottom in shooting %. I think we usually are.

OT - Vegas 3-8-3 in their last 14 games. Haha stupid Vegas.

When the referees are looking to call a penalty on a specific team they call the first thing resembling an infraction they see. When they aren’t looking to call a penalty they’ll let everything go. Fans suspected this forever but TimPeel’s hot mic episode confirmed it. He’s been fired and gone for years but there’s no shortage of games to see the league still operates the same way.
Tell me more

Too many low percentage shots and passing in high scoring areas. The Blues were more than happy to take shots from the slot, whereas the Oilers would often pass it from that spot.

Best game from Connor in awhile IMO. Skinner was just good enough to get us the W. 2nd best goalie tonight but he was good overall.
meh got bailed out by Thomas missing a wide open net and the post not many minutes after. Our pk has been getting lit up the last couple games and a big reason is because he contributes very little on it right now.

It is an issue. That is coaching. How are we usually this low in shooting %
The Oilers play an overly complex game offensively that consists of overpassing, bad drop passes, and always allowing the player least likely to score to take the shot (Darnell Nurse, Brett Kulak, etc). They don't tend to funnel pucks to the net with screens. Hyman needs to start getting into the eyes of goalies if he's going to remain on the power play. A simpler game would go a long way.
