NHL needs to ask themselves how they can call that penalty on Ekholm yet ignore the Schenn boarding penalty minutes later or the more obvious Draisaitl interference in OT. Both of these (one against each team) were infinitely worse than what they called on Ekholm. I mentioned it in the GDT but you can’t help thinking about Tim Peel after a game like this and there are an awful lot of games like this.

Draisaitl also got boarded just after they scored on the powerplay. He’s lucky he didn’t hit his face on the dasher

I'm ok with ignoring the interference on Drai. They ignored his takedown too. Cool. I ref that way. It's OT. But you're absolutely right about the boarding on Hyman. You don't even need to bring up Ekholms hit, which could've went either way for me if I'm being honest. But a hit from behind into the numbers into the boards - yeah nothing to see here. FKRs
