Post-Game Talk: Connor Magic!

On a side note, much has been criticized about the Nurse-Bouchard pairing vs the Kings. But they were a force of nature tonight. 84.32 xGF%, 19-2 SCF, 8-0 HDCF and 77.89 xGF%, 18-5 SCF, 7-0 HDCF for Bouchard and Nurse respectively. That's probably the type of performance Knob/Coffey envisioned for these two from what they saw in practice and stuff.

I wish we could just cut Nurses contract.

Ekholm - Bouchard
Walman - Klingberg
Kulak - Emberson/Stecher

That’d be a fine defense next season, if only we could remove Nurse.
Every team has a bad contract. At least Nurse had a pretty solid regular season. At least Hes not so bad they have to scratch him. lol

Incredibly resilient team.

Almost had 6 as we all know which is insane and it’s only the start of the second round. lol

Credit where credit is due as a big critic of this pairing

Down 2-0 early in the 1st and this team was completely unphased. In fact, we ran their show in their own barn from the 2nd period onward. Tremendous team effort all around. That Connor Brown goal was the icing on the cake. Huge win as coming into this I would be ecstatic if we came back to Edmonton tied 1-1

Holy f*** Bouchard!

He looked thoroughly dominant. Always seemed to control the puck, broke up plays by various Golden Dongs (they need to bring back those golden peckerhead helmets), and oh yeah...two primary assists. Funny how much more confidence he plays with when every f***ing mistake doesn't end up in the net.
