Good opportunity to spread that word that the PAP is not just about chronic issues. Sometimes people just need space to pull up, get through a hard time in their life, and then come back better.

If I recall, Spencer Knight also entered the player assistance program and he didn't enter it for substance abuse either.

I hope he finds the help that he needs.

I'm glad that some players have enough introspection ability to recognize that they need professionnal help; this is so far away from what used to be the culture about mental health in this sport; sometimes change is good. This can go a long way to destroy stigma, especially for men's mental health in the workplace. Who knows, maybe this will inspire other people in general to recognize that they are not well and seek the help that they need.

I hope it’s sooner rather than later that it becomes widely considered that a man who admits he needs help is strong, not weak.

Quoting just to make it prominent, obnoxiousness added by me.

Hope Ingram and all the other guys seeking help get what they need. Substance abuse, mental health, emotional health supports, etc. One of the constant truths of life is that we can't do it alone.

He had an OCD breakdown.

I just had an OCD breakdown mental health episode last week. It sucks it’s all consuming it is all you can think about, your brain lies to you. People underestimate how awful it is to have your brain just lie to you, by Saturday last week I had convinced myself I had ALS…under 30 and had to be sedated.

Having outlets for the players…really just people in general is so important. Too many people suffer in silence.
