Good opportunity to spread that word that the PAP is not just about chronic issues. Sometimes people just need space to pull up, get through a hard time in their life, and then come back better.
If I recall, Spencer Knight also entered the player assistance program and he didn't enter it for substance abuse either.
Valeri Nichuskin also was in the player assistance programIf I recall, Spencer Knight also entered the player assistance program and he didn't enter it for substance abuse either.

I'm glad that some players have enough introspection ability to recognize that they need professionnal help; this is so far away from what used to be the culture about mental health in this sport; sometimes change is good. This can go a long way to destroy stigma, especially for men's mental health in the workplace. Who knows, maybe this will inspire other people in general to recognize that they are not well and seek the help that they need.
Quoting just to make it prominent, obnoxiousness added by me.Good opportunity to spread that word that the PAP is not just about chronic issues. Sometimes people just need space to pull up, get through a hard time in their life, and then come back better.
