Helle didn’t play ona. Super team being insulated by a top defence in the league so him. Once Tampa lost its depth vasi got exposed.

Helle has been better in the regular season on a worse team, but Vasy has 2 cups and has been one of the best in the playoffs. Tough call, both guys are awesome

I think it’s pretty clearly Vasi imo. This past regular season probably pushed that to Helly, but the playoff advantage is so much larger for Vasi.

Vasi has definitely had the better career but I think "better" goalie is less clear cut.

Hellebucyk's regular season stats are clearly better (SV%, GSAA, workload) despite playing for worse teams not just defensively, but overall.

Vasi deserves credit for taking full advantage of his situation, being the best playoff goalie of his generation. But it's also worth noting Hellebucyk's circumstances hasn't given him the same opportunity to cement a playoff career close to resembling Vasi's.

Baseline you'd have to go Hellebuyck. Very consistently puts up solid to great numbers.
Peak you'd have to take Vasilevskiy. Absolutely has been the difference in several playoff series.

gotta be Vasi for me, think his recent struggles have been more of a complacency of having already did the damn thing and not having much left to prove.

Obviously playing for Tampa skews it towards Vasi, but we can't know for sure Helly would do equally as good or better. Not a dig at Helly at all, but gimme me the guy with multiple cups.

Hellebucyk has to figure playoff games out.
