a step in the right direction last night. managed an .842 save percentage. fortunately for him and the Jets, the Blues couldn't generate much offense.

the team in front of him deserves all the credit for holding the score to 3 so they could win. hellebuyck was like swiss cheese again but the jets disrupting and suppressing the blues offense kept most shots away from him. if they don't bail him out, the puck's going in too often. you don't get a choice but to change your game plan when a guy simply can't perform in a critical position on the team.

That's a great save, but he really should have been prepared to push across for the pass instead of just hoping his stick would miraculously hit the puck.

Is it a good save when you leave 80% of the net wide open and the guy happens to shoot the puck at the paddle instead of any other part of the net? I guess I'm the only one who these don't impress. Much more impressed with a guy sliding over properly.
