Prospect Info: 2024-25 Ducks Prospects

We had that trade with Toronto where they drafted some dude higher but he didn't get to the NHL amd we picked Rakell and Gibson. And now we traded up with Toronto. Solberg with all his flaws has had insance progress while it sounds everyone is dissapointed with Danford. Not sure whom else they drafted with that other pick.

I will never forget the name Tyler Biggs

At least he showed Truculence..

Gotta love Burkie's spirit. I am so glad Burkie left b/c his drafts for the Ducks were abysmal! Murray let Burkie have his truculence while beaming to snag Rakell and Gibby. Although, at that time, I would have drafted Gibby first and then Rakell. Must be that "don't draft a goalie in the first round" superstition.

Burke at the draft is like an Eldery senile AL Davis drafting and doing the scouting himself after firing his scouts. Logan MacBust in 2007 is just a horrible pick and Tyler Biggs is even worse because he traded up for Jason Biggs long lost cousin lol. There apparently was a lot of red flags about Logan MacMillan that Burke ignored or didn't care ?

Huge hit from sennecke early, then a steal at the blueline and dangle down low for a good chance. He plays much better when he is physical.

Pains me to say but other than that early hit, Sennecke is playing a very lazy game. Not backchecking or skating hard at all. Very disappointing effort so far IMO.

Where do you think he plays next season? People are saying he lacks strength and needs to add muscle, others are saying he's been playing great. I'm not that updated on him, so I don't know what to believe.

He's not had anything close to a great series against London. We'll see how he looks in camp and what additions the Ducks make to the roster. Right now I don't see him spending the year in the NHL.

-3 and no shots so far tonight.

To be fair no one looks very good vs London… team just plays as a unit.

They have 4 dmen that will likely play in the NHL some point, and responsible forward and solid goalie

I agree...London is just head and shoulders better. But IMO Sennecke has been playing a very junior style game and it's not effective at all against London. I think he's very frustrated besides.

Oh he’s def frustrated, getting a heavy dose of bonk + Dickinson

That's a bit concerning to read about Sennecke. I hope we give him guidelines to improve his 2 way play.
No reason to be concerned. He played against an NHL level defensive pairing, which is what Bonk and Dickinson are today, and he remained a handful despite not getting much done offensively, laying huge hits in every single game.

The structure of London is too good for every other team in the OHL and no individual effort beats that along with their matchup defensive pairing. No one on Generals did any better and in fact Sennecke was the one to drag his team into the battle time after time.

He needs coaching and I suspect enough of that will not happen on the Generals, so he might see a change of scenery next year, as has been foreseen by other here aswell.

Yeah, I am rather optimistic he is SD-bound to start the season and might get a call-ups towards March 2026, if he has handled the much higher workload by then.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Sennecke is AHL eligible. He can go for a conditioning stint, but I'm pretty aure his birthday means it's NHL or juniors.

IIRC it used to be AHL-eligible for NA skaters on e they hit age 19, no?
