It’s Marchessault, but Crosby’s Smythe will continue to be overlooked just because of the weak numbers.

I went with Marchessault but it's close. I do think that Crosby should have won it in 2016 over Kessel at least, but Couture should have gotten it overall. Two somewhat weak ones, Eichel or Stone would have been slightly better choices than Marchessault in my opinion.

Crosby played at a 65 point / 21 goal pace as a defensive liability.

I admire the loyalty though.

Kessel, Letang and Murray were all more deserving of the Smythe in 2016.
