Ducks don't win the cup that year without Pronger. I hated him as a player, but would have loved to have him on my team when he was in his prime.

Ducks won both games without Pronger in the WCF and SCF. They also went to the Western final AGAINST Pronger the year before. He obviously helped, but the team could have easily got past Ottawa without him, and likely Detroit as well.
