Malkin only had 1 point in the final 3 games of the finals. McDavid had 4.

But yeah - cup win vs cup loss, it would be an interresting poll.

Malkin had points in 5/7 of the finals games.

McDavid had points in 4/7 of the finals games.

Malkin was the huge reason for Pittsburgh’s come back from 0-2 deficit in game 3-4.

McDavid was the huge reason for Edmonton’s come back from 0-3 deficit in game 4-5.

Would be a good poll that would probably be ruined by recency bias.

Malkin's era-adjusted scoring rate is probably higher than McDavid's. If not, then he at least was the best on his team by a greater margin.
