On pace for a 11- or 12-goal season.

Then again, we could always apply NHL.com's special advanced stats calculations (you know, the same won that predicted Dwight King would get 47 goals this season after he produced a goal in his first game back from injury). Using their logic, Vinny could very well have a 40-goal season (last three games he has one goal in each of them, Kings have 37 games to go in the season, so that roll is a 40).

Looked like Vinny circa 2004 with that snipe last night.

It's almost like he hopped into the DeLorean with Dr. Emmett Brown and went back in time.

Just watch out for those Libyans, Vinny.

I've been lurking this forum just reading (and cracking up) for a LONG LONG time until I finally signed up to comment on the Vinny/Schenn deal because the thread for the trade was just so completely illogical. According to HFBOARDS a guy WHO MAY EVENTUALLY become a NHL player and a 3rd (which statistically, a majority of the time doesn't pan out to even be a NHL player) is more valuable than two guys who you can insert into an actual lineup and help you win a championship. I do understand the hesitation with Vinny but at 50% retained for both guys with a promise of retirement I had NO idea how even if Vinny was a scratch for the rest of the year and Schenn became a #5, this could be anything but a win for the Kings. People are just ignorant to what a team needs. Just the fact that we don't have to see Ehrhoff and Mcbain together in the lineup is a HUGE BLESSING.

Also I've been reading this forum for a while like I said, a certain Kings fan was having a panic attack and I hope he comments here but I won't name names, I think every trade I've seen this guy throws Dean Lombardi under the bus and he's just always been wrong which is hilarious to me but he still comments as if he's an expert every time a trade is made. I remember how much he HATED the Jeff Carter trade and thought he was a poison in the locker room.

Can't let him retire now, better get an extension in place if anything. :sarcasm:

I know you are joking but VL is already signed for another 2 years.
I know LA needs every penny but lets say he does have resurgence and decides to keep playing. Seeing as the flyers would already be committed to 50% of his salary, could be worth problems than have a $2.25M 3rd line C.
Or maybe he becomes a tradable asset. if he decides to keep playing.

Good post. Glad to hear we made you laugh a few times :handclap:

McBain has one less goal than Getzlaf.

Andreoff has as many goals as Getzlaf.

Lewis has more goals than Getzlaf.

Mersch has two less goals than Getzlaf.

****ing lol.

using HF logic, this obviously means that our entire team is comprised of 1st liners

time to panic folks, the Kings are underachieving based on those standards

Wow what the **** happened to Getz this year? A player of his caliber should not have that few goals. Its going to be shameful if Vinny catches up to him.

Chill out Ron. They are simply showing what happens if he keeps up the pace he's set. They aren't predicting King will get 47 goals anymore than they would be predicting Ovechkin would get zero goals if he failed to score in his first game of the season.

He HAS caught Getzlaf.

what does he think this is 2011-2012? (just wanted to point out he has been bad before)
Vinny has already caught him

Getzlaf is one of my favorite players. Most Ducks are actually likable, except for the former Canucks and Pens they keep acquiring. While I certainly don't hope they win the cup, I hope they make the playoffs just so Calgary can't.
