NFL Network calls Vrabel an "overwhelming favorite" for the Patriots' job. Ian Rappaport said he hasn't talked to anyone who doesn't think it'll be Vrabel. Tom Pelissero reported that the Patriots have already had discussions with Vrabel's agent.
Thanks for the update.

Not surprising. All the Krafts have done since Brady has left is bring in/promote people they know. They are afraid of going outside the box.

Promoted Wolf/Mayo

Gave Patricia a new title as OC

Brought back Bill O’Brien

Now they are potentially bringing in Vrabel and Mcdaniels again.

It’s turning into the Patriots Fraternity of retreads
Does that matter if they are ultimately successful?

They easily could have bought out Mayo after last season and gone for Vrabel and you'd be a year ahead in your rebuild.

I am fine with Vrabel as long as he has a strong offensive staff. He did a very good job in Tennessee with limited QBs.

My feelings on Vrabel depends on his staff. I trust Vrabel to have the team culture under control but some of the coaches in Tennessee weren't great.

I'm probably one of 10 people on this planet who still likes Josh McDaniels. Considering he had a completely talentless roster with a qb who couldn't throw the ball after week 2 in 2020 he did pretty well with it and he's the only guy who has made Mac Jones look like a starting qb. He's a safe guy to have with Drake Maye and unless a college program wants to make him head coach, you know he's going to be here long term working with Maye.

Kind of like that Vrabel doesn't have to follow BB.

Krafts are laughing stocks at the moment they aren't going to hit a home run with a total newcomer. Vrabel won with no QB and McDaniels is better than what we had this year.

Real question is do the Krafts spend money. We probably won't screw up the 4th pick can we get another 2 players from the next 3 picks our 2+3 and Atlanta's? We should at least get 1 but who knows with Wolf but he's definitely gone a year from now if he f***s up this draft. I don't think they let Vrabel fire him.

I think Lamar will lay an egg tonight. Wish it was Fields for the Steelers. Tomlin is the best coach in the league and has a WC win in him.

Maybe next time try not going 2-6 (2-7 if you include the wild card loss) against winning teams there, Jimbo.

Belicheck had Herberts number from day one. Always had his worst games against us. That tells me he can be fooled when pressed. His receivers not named McKonkey did him no favors last night.
That said, it will be very exciting to see what Maye can do with talent around him.

They won 5 games last year. Pretty decent improvement if you ask me.

We gonna shit on Washington too if they lose tomorrow? They won 4 games last year…

Pats fans should be jealous…
They both had significantly better rosters

Herbert and the D front 4 specifically Bosa was hurt last year for significant time

Belichick 4 wins included beating 3 QB’s released who were backups - that 56 yd FG with 2 seconds left

He lost in 15 days to Sam Howell, Tommy Devito, and Gardner Minschew

They were soooooo close to losing them all

The Jets game with Zach Wilson should have been an L….they beat Pittsburgh with Trubinsky

I been watching football since the days of Vince Lombardi and Bart Starr - my family has had season tickets since Billy Sullivan owned the team - this was one of worst rosters I’ve ever seen
