Based on this my most improved:

• Washington - Vastly improved defence with (Chychrun, Roy) and I like their offence more (Dubois, Mangiapane, Duhaime, Raddysh vs Pacioretty, Malenstyn, Aube-Kubel, Phillips)
• Nashville - Brought in three huge pieces (Stamkos, Marchessault and Skjei), I also prefer Wedgewood to Lankinen
• Chicago - I honestly thought they brought in a lot of solid players to replace pretty bad ones. (Bertuzzi, Teravainen, Mikheyev, Martinez) even Brodie is an upgrade on Tinordi.
• NJ - They vastly improved defence and goaltending with the additions of (Pesce, Dillon and Markstrom)

Biggest step-back

• Florida - They lost so many quality players and didn't replace any of them. (Montour, OEL, Tarasenko, 1/2 bottom 6)
• Carolina - Ditto to Florida (Guentzel, Pesce, Skjei, Teravainen, Noesen)
• Vegas - Losing Marchessault, Stephenson and Thompson is gonna hurt that roster a lot.
• LA - Not sure what the strategy is over there....

I really liked what Edmonton did, that forward group is absolutely filthy. Retained key defensive and PK guys in Janmark and Brown. Added Arvidsson and Skinner who should put up big goal totals with the speed and skill around them. Edmonton has a lot of elite passers so Arvidsson and Skinner who both can rip the puck should be in positions to succeed. Draisaitl will have some quality scoring wingers to play with, I can see him and Arvidsson being a pain in the ass to play against.

I also liked what Nashville did which is obvious. I quite liked what the Leafs did too on D, they will be much tougher to play against.

Thought LA and Carolina had brutal days. Vegas got worse as well which you love to see.

Based on this my most improved:

• Washington - Vastly improved defence with (Chychrun, Roy) and I like their offence more (Dubois, Mangiapane, Duhaime, Raddysh vs Pacioretty, Malenstyn, Aube-Kubel, Phillips)
• Nashville - Brought in three huge pieces (Stamkos, Marchessault and Skjei), I also prefer Wedgewood to Lankinen
• Chicago - I honestly thought they brought in a lot of solid players to replace pretty bad ones. (Bertuzzi, Teravainen, Mikheyev, Martinez) even Brodie is an upgrade on Tinordi.
• NJ - They vastly improved defence and goaltending with the additions of (Pesce, Dillon and Markstrom)

Biggest step-back

• Florida - They lost so many quality players and didn't replace any of them. (Montour, OEL, Tarasenko, 1/2 bottom 6)
• Carolina - Ditto to Florida (Guentzel, Pesce, Skjei, Teravainen, Noesen)
• Vegas - Losing Marchessault, Stephenson and Thompson is gonna hurt that roster a lot.
• LA - Not sure what the strategy is over there....

Carolina did a good job of rebuilding their defense and the bottom 6 players they lost, but without finding replacements for TT and/or Guenztal, it’ll all be for naught.
