Every single Leafs defender on that list except for Sandin, has reached their peaks and are on their way down. Habs D is just getting started. I am so excited about our D. In 3 or 4 years they will be a nightmare to play against.

I don't really see much of a difference myself. And Matheson might be better in his own end than Rielly so...

Edmundson = Brodie
Harris = Giordano
Savard = Sandin
Wideman/Xhekaj = Holl

Quite a difference between Matheson and Rielly which gives them the edge at the top. Hard to say what kind of impact Guhle, Kovacevic, and Xhekaj have as young guys. So far, it's very solid.

I agree but Harris has been pretty suspect too, Girondano will still probably have 40+ points this year on that team and yes his defensive play will suffer. Its a really bad blueline if you ask me, I don't know why the Leafs would ignore it year after year with all that talent up front.
