More that hockey players are so vanilla as a group. Which isn't a surprise as every time anyone shows some sort of emotion of the ice the guy gets called out for acting inappropriately.

Interesting angle.....I see lots of personality shown on the ice. Good (Fleury tickling Wheeler's ear) and bad (Marchand breathing the same air as actual humans). You've got wild cellies, brutal hits and retaliations, crowd-rousing scrums, etc. You've got folks like PK and Reaves that just get out there and have fun with who they are . . . little nuances like bench players quietly opening their door while opponents are backing into it....I see lots of fun stuff.

Do some people bellyache any time a player isn't robotic, sure, but I see more and more individual expression out there from year to year.
