OT: Commercials We Hate

It was played way too much.

The first few times I saw it during March Madness, I thought it was okay, but got annoying as the tournament went on.

Playing it during the NHL is just plain dumb.

Speaking of dumb.

These Hyundai Santa Fe ads with the family dressed like Vikings with Heart’s Barracuda blasting. I mean, use Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song - the ad is congruent.

No one has mentioned the Kohls adds, specially the montage one with the family dancing like doofs. It's just embarrassing. If I ever have kids its exactly how I don't want things to be.

And I hate that song. I thought it was Daft Punk for years but apparently it's a Daft Punk side project. The guitar especially irritated me then, and now.
 
The couple that broke up when they didn't watch the Avalanche win the Cup together. Would anyone actually do that, break up with someone who you were dating long term when you didn't watch the game together but your team won the cup. That commercial has to be fake.


 
I have to revive this thread.

I'm sick of the "Tricky" NHL add with all the guys and their fancy goals. I hate the "hey we're all friends and giving each other crap" and especially Pasternak and Forsberg's spots. Generally the whole "Next Golden Era" is so corny and forced.

I'm also tired of seeing Erin Andrews sell cars. I know she just had a health scare and I'm glad she's ok for her own sake, but even as an NFL reporter, she's bland and boring. I never got her appeal. She's the somewhat attractive coworker who "went to an Imagine Dragons concert last summer".

I can't stand any commercial with a loud doorbell that makes me think somebody is at my door. Discover Cards doorbell drove me nuts for a while.
 
Pretty much the only time I watch TV is when the Rangers are on. My wife watches something all the time though. It's usually binge watching some series on Netflix, Hulu, Max etc. etc. I don't even watch the Super Bowl because I don't care about football either and the new ads that come with that will f*** that. Another reason not to watch.
 
I honestly can't recall the last time I saw a commercial........so comforting. The only time I come across them is during Ranger broadcasts but I'm able to mute them.
 
The one with the chick having her hair blown dry and does the most cringe air guitar and noise while having glam rock hair. Annoyingly awful.

That's Stifler's mom. But idk wtf were those noises she was making trying to sound like hair metal/glam rock.

And that Volvo commercial when I stream Rangers games, with that woman crooning that jazzy r&b song. Like wtf? It's so irritating.

And then Ford manages to top that with the cringe "Ford crew" commercial, with the 5 showroom people in the casual uniforms and you got the girl who looks up to the leader guy and follows him around all doe-eyed and eye-f***ing him at the same time. Talk about misogyny.
 
there was a commercial that used to air all the time that numerous times i had to restrain myself from throwing the remote control at the screen. i haven't seen it for a few years now.....until they brought it back a couple of days ago. it's that geico commercial with that piece of peewee piglet shit who goes wheeeh!!!!
