He might not be scratched at all. Berube might see a 4th Line exploitation. If they can play a solid game and you have a guy who can shoot like that, draw penalties, that's an advantage at the time of the year where every angle counts.

I kind of want a 3rd and 4th line that split the minutes if we are going to ride the top 6 heavily, like I assume we are.

Yeah, it's almost like there were different goalies, and in some cases completely different players, playing for the Leafs in those games. But yeah, those December 2023 games are really predictive.

It's tough to say. I didn't like Robertson on the 4th Line just out of the traditional build of checking 4th Lines but if you are looking for balance up and down the lineup and a threat that can exploit a matchup, it is a sign of depth that you can put a player with finish on the bottom 3 and not be surprised when he scores.

Berube had him sit as he was going through a bad stretch and he couldn;t put him back in as the team kept winning. What I like is that Berube is a coach who talks to guys and he said he talks with Robertson. it's important for a player to know "if you're here, you are wanted and will make a contribution". It's these types of dark horses who can add a couple of goals in a playoff run that can make a difference.

All I know is for me, Pacioretty needs to be in for the playoffs, who the last player will be is up to Berube. Holmbeg has been decent of late but he hasn't been all that impressive to me. A large swath of the time it comes down to chemistry on a line.
