The guy can skate and shoot. He's shown a bit of unhappiness when players get in his face.
As long as Robertson doesn't respond but initiates and holds his own, he is making a case for himself.
When a guy can fly and shoot like that, it just takes one chance a game and in the playoffs such chances are few so they have to count.

Robertson is good at the hardest part of the game. Scoring.
He has 7 penalties in 62 games... he doesn't even really take dumb penalties, he just has recently.
I hate that he will likely be scratched for a safer defensive player...

NR just has to figure out a way to limit his gaffs. If he can do that he'd be a veauty second or third line.

The penalties were generally him standing up for himself, so they weren't all bad. Once he publicly stated he was happy in Toronto and was going to will himself to succeed, not take anything for granted, he went from having nearly no penalties to picking up 3 or 4 in short order.
As long as he initiates and doesnt retaliate so much as Berube said, he can avoid those penalties. At least he isn't bending to opponents will though. You need a little fight in your game, especially if not the biggest guy.

Laughton has the worst hands I've ever seen. Not an exaggeration.
14 goals- 62 games- 12 minutes a night, not bad for 875 grand. Wonder how many he’d have playing 18 mins and having 75 games

He might not be scratched at all. Berube might see a 4th Line exploitation. If they can play a solid game and you have a guy who can shoot like that, draw penalties, that's an advantage at the time of the year where every angle counts.
