I figure they would give teams more rest than that. Last game is on Thursday April 17th. It just seems less rest than in typical years. Some teams finish earlier so then they can start on Saturday.
Makes sense. You’d think the league would have had the season end earlier in the week so they could get some weekend games.

Sucks that McCabe is in the dreaded day-to-day category, he plays big minutes, pretty much all good

Not all bad news though, Senators and their goaltender Forsberg, and though badly outplayed dropped the Panthers 3 zip including an empty netter.

Leafs need to score early and often tonight to increase their lead in the Atlantic. So let's go get em boys

Auston it's time to let the giant out

I think there will be a lot of goals in this game. Columbus has been bleeding goals against lately like crazy.

Overdrive boys were talking Friday they heard the Leafs would be starting on the Monday

Much more reasonable. And would set up Game 7 for Saturday if it gets that far.

Not that I'm sure the NHL cares to prioritize the Leafs for Saturdays. When they had the chance to set up a Leafs Saturday night game against Florida in round two back in 2023 they opted to prioritize the Panther's owner and his wish to watch some f***ing horse in a race instead.

So Panthers lose to the Senators!! Need a win to stretch the lead, and the Lightning are knocking too.
But damn, how real are the Senators???

Win tonight and we can pretty much cross the Panthers off the list now.
I never say that anymore, not after I watched the Blue Jays lose the last 7 games in 1987 in the race for the pennant when all they needed was one win to secure it and the Tigers won their last games. This included the last game of the season 1-0 to the Tigers on that famous jump at the wall by George Bell on that lone HR. That is the epic collapse of so many in Toronto sports.

Man, that team had it all, and an MVP season by Bell. I used to listen to the games on the radio to go to sleep, one game they set the record with 10 HR, 3 by Ernie Whitt.

Meh, I digress. Just win against the two Florida teams and it should be good. Start with a win tonight of course :)

Woe is me I know, but I'm in Italy for pretty much the first round. Will be maddening not knowing how the games end.

I was in Thailand a few years ago for round one vs Boston. I was actually able to watch on my phone at 7am on a YouTube channel that streamed games.

If this game remains this tightrope game of chess, the Leafs are going to eat them up with the transition game. Compare this to the LA game, this is damn loose.
