I disagree that's It's a must win game but boy would it be nice to get, especially if Ottawa and Buffalo manage to win.

If the Leafs can gain even a point on Tampa and Florida tomorrow I think they'd be truly in control of the division.

You could argue they are now but I think they need to gain 1 more point on Tampa and Florida

Ideally we need to gain 2 more points on Tampa. That gives us more of a cushion because even if we lose against them, we still control our own destiny. As it stands currently, we effectively have a 1 point buffer before Tampa controls their own destiny.

Given that the next time we play Tampa, it's on the second half of a back to back with us playing in Florida the night before - Tampa has an advantage on the head to head matchup.

Another huge game tonight, looking forward to it.
Missing McCabe is tough, he’s been so good this year. Hopefully he’s able to go next week in Florida

He was out for months.

Day to day doesn't mean what you think it means.

Day to day is a week or less.

Day to day means it’s assessed daily, not that they will only be out a couple days.

Leafs D has 19 goals in total. Makar gets his 30th to become first dman since Green in 2008 to do it. That folks is elite and he's doing it for less money that our 4 chokers.

True but Woll is a walking bandaid too and he hasn't played as well this year.

Other than starting the season on IR, he's been healthy which is more than I expected. I have faith in both goalies. It is the core 4 that I am not sure will play above expectations. They will talk about it, but will they do it?

Those four guys are going to run roughshod over Ottawa in the first round, and again over Tampa if that's who they play in the second round.

This Leafs team is really nothing like those Leafs teams. People have to get past the idea that 4 players have solely determined the outcome of every single playoffs series for this franchise.

Love your enthusiasm. Who do you think is going to score if the top 6 get shutdown? Our D have 19 goals for the season and our bottom 6 are 11, 24, 19, 18, 64 and 29. God bless you if you think this team can win without the top 2 lines playing better than they have.

The Core 4 account for 50 % of the outcome because they consume 50% of the Cap.

You're banking on the other 50% coming through in the clutch. :wg:

I think the top 6 is going to score a lot because of guys like knies and Mcmann. It's simply a different team than in years past.
 
While I have NO desire to want to face Florida or not win the division.

I actually would rather play them round 1. They will still have the suspension and at best, have rusty players playing for the first time in months.

Steel sharpens steel - I don’t want them in a round 2 after beating a really good team.

It’s gonna be fun.
