When I posted this I was really mad at Fabbro, but he had a much better game than my post reflects. The D man who struggled, aside from a great assist, was Provorov.100% agree
He struggled early but think he settled in as the game went on. There are a bunch of guys who look off right now whether fatigue/sickness/whatever. Overall I don't thinks hes been too bad lately, got outmuscled by a much larger Matthews on the one goal but that happens sometimes. When I posted this I was really mad at Fabbro, but he had a much better game than my post reflects. Probably time to put him back with ZAR and JVRsince monahan went down with an injury adam fantilli has…..
2 assists, 5 goals, 7 points, +6, and 20 shots on goal in those seven games.
20 shots in 7 games is nearly 3 shots on goal per game.
in the games prior to monahan’s injury, adam was only averaging 1.90 shots on goal.
the kid is seizing this opportunity to center the top line and truly making the most of it.
Elvis posting 3 goals better than the expected was really impressive - and this stat certainly matches the eye test.Nice game. Elvis played well, offense making their shots count. Happy to see LDBB's game translating to the NHL. He's having a good season. Fun watching this team find themselves.
IMO that's Evason and Werenski. This is not a "blast Jenner" comment, just that HCDE and ACZW seem to have really synced and there's cohesion that's been missing. That environment allows for the group to "find itself."Nice game. Elvis played well, offense making their shots count. Happy to see LDBB's game translating to the NHL. He's having a good season. I wasn't trying to short sell anybody. I should have chosen a better word than team, as I was involving everyone. Organization would have worked better, as they have really come together and seem to be on the same page.IMO that's Evason and Werenski. Also, I don't think we should short-sell adds like JVR and even JJ, especially since Boone and Gud have been out so long. So GMDW gets some "find itself" credit too.
Oh I didn't intend to suggest that at all. I just wanted to make sure to say that I wasn't trying to do so.I wasn't trying to short sell anybody. Honestly, we also need to include moving on from people that didn't want to be here, and/or players that weren't working out. I think the locker room is a much better place right now.

You can be EBUG just once me thinks. Is Ayres still the EBUG? That is the question.
He and Christianson were crushed being on the ice for 1 shot for 15 against.I saw Provorov make a lot of very good defensive plays in this game, some nice blocks and clears. Obviously analytically it shows that he played the whole night in his end, so not what you want. Maybe there were a lot of mistakes I missed or maybe it's just one of those games where the player is doing his job well despite the stats.
EBUGs are building-specific but there's no limit (afaik) on how many times they can be called into action. You can be EBUG just once me thinks.
the team in general got heavily outshot last night, but there was one particular turnover by christiansen (blind backhand pass across the offensive zone) that led to a breakaway the other direction. elvis stopped it, but i was surprised he didn't get benched for that.He and Christianson were crushed being on the ice for 1 shot for 15 against.
biggest priority for waddell at the deadline (imo) should be to build a second line around fantilli.Probably time to put him back with ZAR and JVR
