Calling Riccordati "Common Man" is an insult to all men.
Well, that is true.
Calling Riccordati "Common Man" is an insult to all men.
Not sure if this is the right thread but...
We're going to Michigan for a wedding this June. On the way, we're spending a day at Cedar Point. Two days from then we're staying in Detroit. Is there anything worthwhile to see/do during that day in between around those areas?
Thanks.
heard a rumor that Common Man is leaving 97.1 for the new station to be reunited with Torg...dunno how credible the rumor is...but if so, i've lost all hope already...

I have not heard this rumor. I would bet he's got some sort of non compete that would keep him off the air for a while too.
But I just looked him up on twitter and he changed his name from @CommonMan971 to just @CommonManRadio, sooooo.....
Where there's smoke there's fire?

Maybe some people in Columbus think what Torg said was funny. I personally do not. To support the Taliban over a college rivalry is appalling.
Poor joke, but like the previous issue that got him in trouble... No he wasn't going to support the Taliban over Michigan. That we take that comment seriously reflects poorly on those who believe that.
It's called hyperbole with poor taste and poor judgement. I have never liked Torg. Two years ago I said he was a HR nightmare waiting to happen. He certainly is. However, to believe that he would support the Taliban in any way is just down right silly. We knew what he meant. He was going for shock value. But from what I can tell he is quite proud of America and, overall, a decent enough person.
Attack him for poor judgement and taste? Sure. Accuse him of being a Taliban sympathizer or phrase it in such a way that you took the comment seriously or literally? I don't think so.
Torg is a 13 year old boy that deserves no place on the radio. Listening to him is like listening the conversation in a junior high school
