Massive win. Two in a row on the road. Tonight they proved they don't need to win 6 to win. They were awesome defensively tonight. They're becoming an absolute bitch to play against.

Imagine them with Jenner and Chinakhov in the lineup...

We need to have the goaltender conversation, if this team thinks they can get into the playoffs, it cannot be with Tarasov on the roster. I think that ship may have just sailed this weekend even though it appears he had a solid night in Cleveland tonight.
Completely agree.
Tarasov isn't it.
Jet will be, but I think an experienced back up goalie is needed for the rest of this season, someone like Jack Campbell or Matt Murray.

Except Jack Campbell sucks
And so does Matt Murray to be honest.

Jet fits in the locker room. I'm happy if we can make the playoffs but I don't expect to win a series. This season is still about building a long term culture. I don't want to bring in another washed up goalie just because he's been in the league for a handful of years. We do need some additional depth in the event of an injury but probably more of a Keith Kinkaid type guy who will never see the ice except in an emergency.

In that situation, maybe those guys fit because they are cheap but they should also never get to play and they'd better not rock the boat in the room.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Small snapshot, but impressive numbers.

Better than Tarasov. Much better.

It's just for someone to fill in as back up for the rest of the season.
Murray had an exceptional game for the Leafs and couple weeks ago or so when Stolarz and Woll were out with injuries. That's what a team needs, an experienced goalie to help.
I don't have any faith in Tarasov.
Maybe they keep Jet for the rest of the season, and I'm ok with that. He's playing behind a much better team than the team from the last couple of years. Those teams would have ruined his development.

Great to see the team pick up a tight one on the road. Really starting to show signs of growth winning tight, must win-type games on the road. Also, this really Illustrates how Fantilli needs better line mates. He has been a much better player in all phases of the game since Pitt, even if some of that was correcting a slump its very promising.
